Graphic Designer
JOB PURPOSE

The Graphic Designer will be responsible to simplify and transform complex information into engaging content for all media platforms, managing social media content, and leading branding compliances of Farming Future Bangladesh. The Graphic Designer will be a self-starter, capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, and showing amazing attention to detail. S/He needs to meet tight deadlines and fulfill requirements of project timelines regarding communication, outreach, and advocacy activities. The Graphic Designer should coordinate with vendors and external suppliers for high-quality print and communication material development.

ABOUT FFB

Farming Future Bangladesh (FFB) is a comprehensive communication and community engagement organization, aimed to improve access to modern agricultural innovations including applications of agribiotechnology for sustainable food security in Bangladesh. Based in Dhaka, it operates in collaboration with Alliance for Science, Boyce Thomson Institute, Michigan State University, and Cornell University. FFB is effectively engaging key stakeholders and a community of advocates who are working in a coordinated way to promote access to scientific innovations as a means of enhancing food security, improving environmental sustainability, and raising the quality of life.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Transform scientific information into creative communication content particularly social media platforms.
  • Create and design high-quality materials for digital and print media.
  • Develop social media content and posts in accordance with brand guidelines.
  • Conceptualizing and developing design concepts, graphics, and layouts Taking design briefs from the relevant unit lead.
  • Presenting ideas, concepts, and design solutions to the team and incorporating their feedback into the final design.
  • Liaising with suppliers and service providers to ensure proofs are of good quality and in line with production specifications.
  • Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner with a quality product.
  • Establish creative direction for FFB within brand guidelines and partner’s requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Educational Requirements:

Graduate in Fine Arts, Creative Arts, Graphic Designing or, any discipline relevant to designing and creative communication content development.

Experience Requirement:

Minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant field specifically in arts, graphic designing, infographics, illustration, and photo editing. Freshers with exceptional skills are encouraged to apply.

Additional Requirement:
  • Working experience in design and photo-editing software such as Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign/QuarkXPress, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, Audition is mandatory.
  • The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software, and a professional approach to time, costs, and deadlines; out of box thinking & creativity for design with proven experience.
